Returns and warranty
These terms apply to orders placed with cadou, Michael Kapp, Biel/Bienne. They supplement our terms of service.
VOLUNTARY RIGHT OF RETURN — 30 DAYS
In Switzerland there is no statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases. We grant you this right voluntarily: you can return your order within 30 days of receipt without giving a reason.
The item must be unused, complete and in its original packaging. For hygiene reasons, a container in which sticks have already been disposed of cannot be taken back. Please enclose the receipt or another proof of purchase.
HOW TO RETURN
Please announce the return in advance by email to info@cadou.ch. We will send you the return address and the necessary details. Parcels that arrive without prior notice cannot be processed.
You bear the cost and risk of the return shipment. Please make sure the parcel has sufficient postage — we cannot accept parcels sent carriage forward. In the case of a legitimate defect or an incorrect delivery, we will of course cover the return costs.
REFUND
As soon as the return has arrived and been checked, we will get in touch with you. If it is accepted, we will refund the purchase price within ten working days to the payment method you used. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the credit may show a few days later. If more than 15 working days have passed since our confirmation, please contact us at info@cadou.ch.
Shipping is included in the purchase price. For a voluntary return, we therefore deduct a shipping fee of CHF 9.00 per order from the refund. In the case of a defect or an incorrect delivery, we refund the full purchase price.
DEFECTS AND TRANSPORT DAMAGE
Please check the shipment on receipt. Report transport damage, a defect or an incorrect delivery as soon as possible to info@cadou.ch, ideally with a photo. We will look into the case and send a replacement, repair the item or refund the purchase price.
STATUTORY WARRANTY
Independently of the voluntary right of return, the statutory warranty for defects under Art. 197 et seq. of the Swiss Code of Obligations applies. The limitation period is two years from receipt of the goods (Art. 210 CO); for purchases by consumers it cannot be shortened by contract. These rights are neither restricted nor excluded by the present terms.
MADE TO ORDER
Every cadou is 3D-printed individually after the order is received. You choose from our fixed colour worlds and lid colours — it is not a custom product made to individual customer specifications. The right of return above therefore applies to these items without restriction.
Minor production-related differences in surface and appearance are part of the printing process and do not constitute a defect.
